Wedding Date on May 20, 2017

One Sunday afternoon in September last fall after a very busy travel work schedule and going on dates with all the wrong guys, I decided to see what type of guys were on eHarmony. After all, I did want a good strong Christian man that would lead our family spiritually and be a great role model. After creating my profile and sending a few winks, and first questions, I received a match and set of questions from someone I hadn't reached out to. I immediately thought he was attractive and wanted to see what he had to say. The rest of the afternoon was spent answering eHarmony pre-fixed questions back and forth till finally we got to the part where we could email each other. By this point I was very smitten and didn't want to stop emailing. Several hours later I decided to give him my phone number and see what would happen. The following day Rick sent me the first text message, then called me on Tuesday night which led to a 5 hour conversation then another long conversation the next night. After a few phone conversations I knew something was different about him and I liked him. About a week later, Rick sent me a text message saying he just wasn't ready to date anyone yet but still wanted to meet in person. I was looking for someone to date and responded to his message that I understood he wasn't ready to date that maybe we would meet sometime and left it at that. I didn't hear from him for over three weeks till one Tuesday evening at the end of October. Rick was on his way back from a vacation in Mexico and sent me a text message with a photo of his view of the ocean. I had remembered our previous conversations and thought it was interesting that he was messaging me again. I didn't hear from him the following day (Wednesday), then Thursday late afternoon, I sent him a message asking if he wanted to get together after work that night. He said he didn't have plans that night and we could meet up. I left work and drove straight to Green Hills driving past my condo to meet him at a restaurant. After spending time with him at dinner that night and our long conversation, I realized that we had a lot in common and wanted to see where this would go. I also learned after midnight that our first date was on his birthday and he didn't mention it till midnight had already passed. Two days later he came over to my condo to watch the TN/KY football game, then the next day we went to church together for the first time at Brentwood Baptist and the rest is history. Advice I have for a bride planning her big day! Soak up every moment of the planning process no matter who stressful it may be and enjoy your wedding day. Everyone told me our wedding day would happen quick and it did. Best thing we did is hired a videographer to capture all these amazing memories that you can't see in photos.
