"How we meet: Payton and Josh fell in love at the University of Alberta during their last year of Dentistry and Dental Hygiene. They first made their acquaintance during an external rotation at the Glenrose Rehabilitation Hospital, where, after a long day of work, they met at a near by Boston Pizza for a mutual friends birthday. After having a few drinks at the restaurant Josh sneakily asked Payton to send him some embarrassing pictures Payton took of a mutual friend from a Halloween party they attended, knowing that he never wanted the pictures in the first place, and just her phone number. The Proposal: The proposal was magical and could not have been done more perfectly if I had planned it myself. Josh and Payton were on their trip to Italy in September of 2017. Near the beginning of their trip Josh and Payton took a ferry from Sorrento to the island of Capri. Josh had told Payton he made a few dinner reservations at various restaurants they would like to try along their travels in different parts of Italy, this seemed normal to Payton as they are foodies and love trying new restaurants along their various travels. Josh had a restaurant booked for the night they were staying in Capri. During the day, they went on a boat tour of the island, stopping at various landmarks. At one point during the boat ride, the tour guide pointed out to a castle-esk building on the top of a cliff looking over the bay of Naples, saying that was the most prestigious hotel on the island called Caesar Agustus. Payton commented on how beautiful it looked as Josh pointed out that that may be the place he made a reservation for dinner tonight, hinting that it may be fancy and to dress up a little. After their boat tour, Payton and Josh made their way back to their cute Airbnb to get ready for dinner. Upon getting ready, there was a knock on the door, it was the owner with a bottle of wine for the couple to enjoy as a welcome gift. Payton and Josh finished the whole bottle before they headed out for dinner, already feeling a little tipsy. They grabbed a ride up to the top of the island, arriving at Caesar Agustus feeling like the Kennedys in their vintage top down taxi cab. They had arrived a little early so the owner escorted them out to the rooftop terrace that overlooked the bay of Naples. Here they enjoy cocktails while taking in the breathtaking views. When their table was ready, the waiter escorted the couple down past the pool, and through a tunnel that opened up to a private terrace and a table for two awaiting. At this moment, Payton knew something was up, this was surely way too perfect and extravagant of a evening to be just another dinner. When they sat down, Josh suggested they order a bottle of Champagne. When the waiter came back Josh asked him to take a photo of us, this was when Josh proposed for the action to be caught on camera (smart man). Payton surely said yes as they exchanged tears and hugs. After, they shared Champagne and a delicious meal with dancing to follow by the live grand piano player in the hotels lounge. Here Payton cried with tears of joy, and with the night being so perfectly classic, feeling like they were in another era. The next morning Payton and Josh took a hung over, but beautiful hike up the coast of Capri, taking in the views one last time before they had to catch the next ferry to Naples. What Our Friends Would Say About Us As a Couple: Payton and Josh are a great match. They both share a passion for teeth, as they work in the dental field together. They both have the same goals in life, which includes starting their own business, having a family and travelling the world. They are very adventurous, they love to explore and are always down to do just about anything (as long as we don't have to decide what we are doing, we are both very indecisive at times). They are very active, on their spare time Payton can be found training for a triathlon or some sort of race and Josh can be found enjoying just about any racket sport."
