We asked them what they envisioned for their day + they said: “We just want everyone to fall in love with Maine just like we have.” — Melissa + Lucky ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ These two Texans have been loving each other for a decade + this weekend they held a destination wedding on a tiny island off the coast of Portland, Maine with about 50 of their closest family + friends from all over. Every little thing about their wedding day was carefully chosen with so much thought. It’s so evident on Melissa + Lucky’s faces that they’re crazy about each other + surrounded by wonderful people who care so deeply about them — their smiles literally stretched across their faces the ENTIRE weekend. It was one of those wedding weekends where we had to continuously pinch ourselves because, wow, we get to meet some of the most incredible people. We feel so honored that our paths crossed with Melissa + Lucky + that we got to celebrate with them in a place that means SO much to their story. It was the perfect New England wedding filled with a rehearsal dinner on two historic schooners, lobster rolls, a boat ride past sailboats + lighthouses to their ceremony spot overlooking the rocky coast. Their vows were SO heartfelt + the speeches given by family + friends brought everyone to tears.
