Love Story Of The Day: The Night They Met Is A Story Of Serendipity

The bride believes that the night they met was serendipitous, and after reading their love story, we can't help but agree with her! Julie and Russell met on a usual night out in Chicago with their respective group of friends, neither with the intent of scoping our their future spouse. Russell was in town from Milwaukee, so he was the least bit interested in hitting it off with someone living in Chicago. Little did he know, Julie was interviewing for a job in his home town… We'll let Julie take it form here ;) :

From The Bride:

The night Russ and I met was serendipitous. Neither one of us was out looking to meet someone but our path’s crossed as we shared drinks with our closest friends at a bar downtown Chicago. I was instantly attracted to Russ, he on the other hand was trying to set up with all of his friends. I asked him several times (at least 6) where he was from. He was reluctant to answer because he didn’t want to start a long distance relationship. Well, unbeknownst to him, four days prior to meeting, I had interviewed for a job in his hometown of Milwaukee. When Russ found that out he reintroduced himself. We went on our first date a week later. The Milwaukee job fell through and four months after meeting Russ I took a job in Kentucky. With every intention of eventually landing that job in Milwaukee we stayed together. And after 7 months of late night FaceTime chats and plane rides I was moving to the Brew City and starting work at the local TV station where I initially interviewed. 18 months later we got engaged! It was a short 6 months of planning and while I (Julie) took the lead on a lot of things, Russ shared his ideas and surprised me with our wedding bands and the honeymoon. With our families help it was our dream wedding come to life. The day was absolutely prefect from sun up to sun down. To have 200 of our closest friends and family in 1 room sharing a meal and dancing the night away was spectacular! We watch our video over and over to relieve it as much as we can.

P.S. How amazing is that blush wedding dress?!
