If a 14-degree, snow-covered day doesn't top your list of perfect days to get married, Olivia and Matthew's breathtaking wedding is guaranteed to change your mind. They made the most of their gorgeous venue by keeping the ladies warm in the most beautiful stoles, while the couple paired their suit and gown with weather-appropriate footwear.
From The Bride:
Matt and Olivia met through mutual friends but Olivia had her eye on Matt before they hit it off. Matt was just a little wide-eyed fawn walking through the backyard maze at his Halloween party and unbeknownst to him a wise lioness was keeping tabs on his every move. After that fateful night they were inseparable. They wrestled, laughed and built their own living and breathing farm. They have an insatiable desire for taking care of animals. They have 3 cats, 2 dogs and honey bees and chickens on the way! Matt has always been able to get Olivia to try new food and things she wouldn’t otherwise do and Olivia has been able to get Matt to go out more and see the town, visit with friends rather than being an old man stuck at home playing video games. The love they both share the most is for travel and the outdoors. They enjoy seeing the world and have been to Germany, Italy, England, Greece, Vancouver (Canada), Whistler, Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, Belize and many, many more places! For their honeymoon, Matt had the idea to do a bucket list trip. For the first week, they visited Alaska to see the Aurora Borealis and Iditarod ceremonial start since Olivia is a recreational musher in her spare time. They also went to Grenada in the Caribbean to catch some sun rays for the second half of the honeymoon.
When choosing a venue and wedding theme, getting married in the mountains with the snow was a must. Matt was so great with allowing Olivia drag him through a 14 degree outdoor snowy wedding in Vail, Colorado. The theme of a dark romance/gothic wedding is right up the couple's alley. The vendors came together to bring the concept to life and make it an incredible day for everyone involved.
