How One Couple Went From The Friend Zone To Forever <3

\"Had I known, all these years, that this is what I was missing, I surely would not have made you wait this long.\" - the bride <3

Kellie and Zachary met in the 6th great and have been best friends ever since. While there was always love between them, Zachary quickly found himself in the friend zone -- but that didn't stop him from going after what we wanted! And after years of persistence, Kellie had her \"aha!\" moment, realizing that Zachary was definitely the man of her dreams. In her own words \"the rest is history.\"

Watch Kellie + Zachary by 3rd Street Films and read more about this sweet couple and their beautiful Michigan wedding day below:

From The Bride:

We met in 6th grade. We were best friends our entire lives. He tried to ask me out pretty much our entire friendship, but I kept saying no. We were so close it just seemed weird to go from friends to more. We went to middle school together, high school, summer camp, college, and even work at the same company. It wasn’t until a few years ago that his persistence paid off! I finally agreed to give him a shot and the rest is history!

Your love story is the sweetest! Do you remember the moment it clicked for you that Zachary could possibly be more than a friend?

I honestly don't recall an \"exact moment\". It was like all the sudden I just saw this same person in a totally different light. I couldn't believe what I had been depriving myself of all of those years! He is the most wonderful, amazing, selfless person and I consider myself the luckiest person in the world that he waited as long as he did for me!

Tell us a little more about your dress! How did you find it, and what made you choose that designer?

I saw a few of Lihi Hod's dresses when I was skimming through Pinterest one day and was obsessed with her look. It turns out she's an Israeli designer, so trying to track down a boutique that carried her that wasn't across the world was a challenge! I found a boutique in Chicago that carried her line, so when I was in there with my mom and sister, I went to the trunk show. It was the first dress I tried on. Game over!

How did you find your wedding videographer and what made you choose them?

A few girls I knew in college used 3rd street. I remember watching a few of their videos on Facebook and tearing up. I visited their website and cried my way through videos of people I didn't even know. I figured if these videos could make a total stranger cry, then it was a no brainer!

What was the most unexpected thing about your wedding day?

How calm I felt all day. I have a hard time giving up control, so knowing I had to put the day in other peoples hands was scary!

What was your favorite part of your wedding journey?

Gosh there were so many fun parts. I think my favorite part was seeing how excited other people would get for us. People were just genuinely happy and excited for us. They were happy to be a part of this journey, and that meant so much to us. I also really liked getting the response cards back… especially the ones that had cute little notes on them!

What's your #1 piece of advice for future brides?

My advice would be to stay true to what you want. Don't let anyone else try and take anything away from your vision. Trust yourself.

Anything else our viewers should know?

If you can help it, marry your best friend. :)
