Aaaand we're melting! Chase's speech about his new bride Katie is the SWEETEST. Sunset Blue Productions managed to capture so many magical moments on Katie and Chase's wedding day, from the FOB's emotional speech and the way the couple looks at each other to the adorable flower girl and ring bearer and more. Watch their gorgeous video and read our interview with Katie, where she shares how she incorporated her personal style into the wedding color scheme. Oh... and grab your tissues first ;).

From The Bride:

We met at a friend’s Christmas Party in 2013. Chase lived in NYC at the time, but was home in Minneapolis for the holidays (where I lived/we both grew up). We were inseparable for the next week and then started visiting each other routinely until I moved to NYC 9 months later. The rest is history ?

Chase's story about feeling like the "luckiest man alive" is so sweet - tell us how he proposed!

We went on a rather impromptu trip to Red Rock Canyon where he proposed on a hike at the top of the Red Rocks!

You and your wedding party look stunning! How did you choose that classic black and white style?

You can never go wrong with black. It’s timeless and classic. I also knew that I wanted all-white flowers with natural greens theme (the room was light white/grey too), so felt that a lighter blush/grey/gold dress would have looked washed out. I wanted something to give a color contrast to the all-white flowers/theme. I’ve always liked classic with a modern twist. I also knew I didn’t want overly ‘bridesmaidy’ looking dresses. I fell in love with the racerback and black bridesmaid dress. I also personally am typically wearing black or white :)

How did you find your wedding videographer and what made you choose them?

They were actually recommended to me by my wedding planner, so I trusted her judgement. I knew a friend who had used them too, so went by word of mouth.

What was the most unexpected thing about your wedding day?

How quickly it goes by and how much of a blur/out of body experience it can be! For me, it was hard to feel really in the moment or relaxed during things like the first look and ceremony. I could see the photographers/videographers during first look, which made it harder for me to have a natural reaction. Also, during the ceremony I was nervous since we had an audience of 200! It’s great to have the photos and video after to look back on it all. It was all a wonderful experience but much more surreal than I anticipated.

What was your favorite part of your wedding journey?

All the fun gatherings with friends and family throughout the process. Things like the showers, bachelorette party, engagement parties, etc. It’s a fun excuse to see everyone you love and a magical time! Oh and the honeymoon :) that was the best trip of my life. I recommend going on your honeymoon right after, if you can swing it! You’re on such an immediate high after the wedding that it’s a trip of a lifetime!

What's your #1 piece of advice for future brides?

Slow down to really enjoy and notice things during the wedding day. Everyone told me this and I still wasn’t able to do it! Really take it all in by taking a few deep breaths throughout the day and soaking up the micro-moments. It’s unbelievably cool to have that many people you care about in the same room and it will likely never happen again. Also actually enjoy your reception – dance and let loose. Don’t worry about trying to make the rounds quickly talking to everyone… conversations will be blur anyway and you likely will not able to make it to everyone! Think about how long/meaningful of conversations you’ve really had with a bride/groom at someone else’s wedding… so don’t hold yourself to such a high standard of making that happen! Everyone is just happy to be there and enjoy the day.

Anything else our viewers should know?

Wedding planning can be a stressful time, so try not to take it too seriously :) Be sure to keep doing fun things with your spouse and only allocate X amount of time per night/week for wedding planning, so it’s not a 24/7 thing for an entire year. It’s such a magical day, but remember it’s also only 1 day of your life!
