Chicago Couple Blends Their Cultures In EPIC Destination Wedding

The first time we watched Brianne and Gaurav's wedding video we could not WAIT to feature them as a Love Story of the Day. They invited 230 (!!) guests to Mexico for two ceremonies to celebrate their union. Their first ceremony was Catholic, to honor the bride's religion, and the second was Hindu, to honor the groom's. Brianne looked unbelievable in both her western-style wedding dress by Anne Barge and her traditional Indian apparel by JADE By Monica & Karishma. We loved seeing how dedicated these two were to experiencing the other's culture and just how excited all their family and friends—especially their sweet parents—were to take part!

Read the story of how they met, then watch their beautiful wedding captured from LEAP Weddings.

From The Bride:

I will never forget the day Gaurav and I met, it was one of those days for the books! I was in the airport coming home from an unexpected trip out West and it was chaos in Chicago because it was the weekend of Lollapalooza. I landed in Chicago and I received a phone call from a girlfriend who insisted that I come to meet her on a boat on Lake Michigan. After much deliberation and declining the invitation (at least 15 times) I reluctantly went along. She picked me up and told me all about the group we were going to meet and said that she was excited to introduce me to Dr. G. We got to the boat and I met the infamous Dr. G, the life of the party and very attractive with gorgeous green eyes! We enjoyed our time on the lake but it was cut short due to a downpour. We returned to have a dance party on the dock in the rain. Clearly nothing was going to stop our good time. Gaurav and his group of friends then insisted that we join them in VIP at Lollapalooza right down the street. That was an easy decision, so we headed into the festival, jumped into a golf cart to speed off to see the Foo Fighters. Upon arrival at the stage we were surprisingly greeted by Perry Farrell … and ended up partying it up with The Blackhawks and jamming out – it was definitely a scene! We later ended up jumping into the mud at Deadmau5 to jumping in the pool at Gaurav’s condo after the show. As the night continued I ironically found out I was moving the following week two blocks away from where Gaurav was living. We made plans to meet up after I moved in and when I did he invited me over for a glass of wine and recap. We ended up chatting the night away, he walked me home and I knew he was the one!
