Love Stories TV Debuts New and Improved Video Platform
NEW YORK JANUARY 24, 2018
Love Stories TV, the first-ever platform for watching and sharing wedding films, is proud to officially unveil the new and improved LoveStoriesTV.com. Both a planning tool and entertainment platform, Love Stories TV lets couples browse for inspiration, check out venues, watch vows and toasts, see the work of videographers, discover products and services and so much more. The website and mobile experience upgrades, which include enhanced search and filtering, video uploading and a fully redesigned format, provide a better overall experience for visitors.
Love Stories TV is the ultimate place to (binge) watch wedding videos, having clocked more than ten million minutes of watch time in less than two years (a ten times increase since the site launch). Love Stories TV also boasts the longest time on site relative to other leading wedding websites. With its unmatched collection of data-enriched wedding films, submitted by both couples and wedding filmmakers from around the world, Love Stories TV is a hub for a fast-growing and deeply engaged community of soonlyweds, newlyweds, and wedding film enthusiasts.
“We’ve talked extensively with filmmakers, brides and grooms over the past several months and we’re so excited to re-launch the site with tons of features that people have been asking for,” said Love Stories TV founder and CEO Rachel Jo Silver. “We know these new features and improvements to our platform will both help filmmakers get their beautiful work in front of more potential clients, and will help make the planning process more fun than ever for engaged couples.”
New Website Features & Capabilities
With renewed emphasis on a faster, easier and more dynamic viewing experience, the new Love Stories TV website makes it easier to share, watch, and search the vast video library. Understanding millennial preferences and given that 90% of the company’s site traffic comes from mobile, Love Stories TV ensured the mobile experience is equally powerful.
Both couples and the filmmaking community benefit from high-quality videos and the data that allows couples to essentially source vendors directly from each video. Such features include:
-Optimized viewing experience: Through the integration of JW player, Love Stories TV now stores and plays video files for a faster, smoother viewing experience. Additionally, when one video ends, a new one begins. A search for “ballrooms in Detroit” will bring up a queue of recommended videos – making it easier to binge-watch wedding videos (#LoveStoriesTVandChill)
-Improved search and filter: There’s no more powerful video-based tool for couples planning their weddings, and there’s something for everyone. Visitors can search in three different ways:
Video searches: Search specifics like “Elopements in Iceland” or “Fall Vineyard Weddings” to view relevant wedding films for inspiration and ideas
Filmmaker search: View all the contributions from local videographers and compare their works
Venue search: Search “Ballrooms in Detroit” to view wedding venue pages and all associated wedding films so couples can do preliminary site checks from their couch (especially useful for those planning destination weddings)
Easily contribute videos and details: From the venue to wedding party gifts to the groom’s suit to the video itself, it’s easier to share with a new, custom-designed submission form
Contact videographers directly: Couples looking to hire a videographer for their big day can email videographers directly through the site after viewing their work
Additional tools for filmmakers: Including bulk uploading for filmmakers and a custom dashboard for filmmakers to view the performance of their videos compared to their peers
For Dreamers and Doers
The newly relaunched Love Stories TV is the ultimate online destination for couples planning their wedding, or just millennials who love to watch a good love story. Visitors watch films for ideas and inspiration such as barn weddings or Indian weddings and enjoy films that strike an emotional chord such as Dads Who Will Make You Cry, Best Groom Reactions, and Weddings With Pets.
For Videographers and Wedding Professionals
Love Stories TV is quickly becoming an unrivaled marketing tool for filmmakers, wedding brands, venues and professionals. Love Stories TV has partnered with brands such as David’s Bridal, Bonobos and the Jamaica Tourist Board, introducing new co-branded video experiences and e-commerce integrations that leverage this high quality and completely authentic video content. Love Stories TV is also announcing a partnership with B&H Photo Video for its 2nd Annual Wedding Film Awards taking place in April 2018, honoring videographers for their best and most innovative work.
Love Stories TV Closes Series Seed Financing Round
The company also today announced that it has closed a successful round of seed funding. Love Stories TV’s investor list includes a dynamic array of digital, media and e-commerce experts, including Katia Beauchamp and Hayley Barna, Birchbox co-founders who each individually invested in the company. Love Stories TV will use the capital to further build the team, enhance the product and grow its video library.
“Our mission is to connect engaged couples and wedding enthusiasts with ideas, products and services for their weddings through our giant library of data-enriched high-quality wedding films. This new capital will further enhance our mission and we’re so excited to have our investors’ support and continue our rapid growth into the new year,” said Silver.
Added Katia Beauchamp, Birchbox co-founder and CEO, “It is no surprise to me that Love Stories TV is seeing phenomenal growth and expansion. Rachel had a sharp insight about the opportunity to disrupt the wedding content market, in order to provide an online experience that is both entertaining and useful. I’m excited to see Love Stories TV’s team and offerings continue to grow; I know Rachel will continue to surprise us and shape this industry, just as she shaped Birchbox."
