Jade & Tyler were married in a gorgeous forest wedding, outside of Summerville, near La Grande, OR.
Marine marries his sweetheart with incredible wedding vows, but they don't stop there.  Heartfelt speeches, tributes to military service members, a super fun party & a surprise are all a part of this beautiful & touching forest wedding.  

We had an incredible time getting to know these two.  Their wedding was a great contrast of military reverence with jokes between armed service branches, and an emotional and fun atmosphere.
This military wedding continues a legacy of military service, and representation from the Marines, Air Force, & the Army Rangers.  But this wedding shows that despite stoic appearances, even Marines are allowed a tender side of love.

If you choose to have a military wedding, your ceremony can take place at a military chapel or the academy from which the military member graduated. When figuring out the seating arrangements, remember that each service brand has different guidelines but, generally, the higher-ranking the officer, the better position at both the ceremony and reception.

Many people know a military wedding simply by the attire—most often we see a groom in his dress blues (or whites in the summer)—but there are numerous traditions that come with the territory of hosting a military wedding. 

One of the most well known military wedding traditions is the Arch of Sabers (or Swords if referring to a Navy or Marine Corps member). If either partner, or both, are commissioned officers, they can have a ceremony exit beneath an archway of sabers held by other military members. Noncommissioned officers and enlisted personnel may instead go with the variation called the Arch of Rifles. Speaking of swords, another popular tradition is to cut the cake with a sword instead of a knife at the reception.

White Barn Estate is a beautiful wedding venue located in La Grande, Oregon. It is set on 50 acres of stunning countryside that includes vineyards, a pond, and picturesque mountains. The estate boasts a charming 1920s barn that has been elegantly transformed into a reception hall that can accommodate up to 350 guests. The hall features beautiful wood beams, chandeliers, and large windows that provide natural lighting and breathtaking views of the surrounding countryside.
