We met at NYU in 2010, our freshman year of college. Throughout college we had a strong relationship as friends and always supported one another. A year after we graduated (five years into being friends) we realized that we had a stronger connection and decided to attempt a romantic relationship. Luckily, this worked out great and we have been together now for 5 years as a couple! Joe proposed on June 1, 2019 in Beacon, New York by the waterfall by which we had sat years earlier talking about our future together. He surprised Amanda by having their families show up after the proposal for a celebration.
