SMDB was also selected to perform at the R&B Foundation Party honoring Stevie Wonder and Smokey Robinson as well Presidential Inaugural Balls and parties for Vice-President Joe Biden and New York Senator Alphonso D' Amato.Members of the SMDB have performed or recorded with Alicia Keys, Jay Z, The Roots, John Legend, Jill Scott, Arethea Franklin, Patti LaBelle, Chaka Khan, Boyz -2-Men, Herbie Hancock, Grover Washington, the O'Jays, The David Letterman Band, Kool and the Gang, Ringo Starr, and Bon Jovi.The Sid Miller Dance Band won "Best Live Wedding Entertainment" in Philadelphia Daily News/Inquirer/Philly.Com's Readers Choice Award.
