For years, Joe and Bekka navigated similar social circles, remaining little more than acquaintances. Everything changed in September 2022 when Bekka's brother organized an exciting trip to Slovenia and Italy with a group of friends. During the adventure, Joe and Bekka discovered a remarkable connection, enjoying each other’s company and sharing unforgettable moments, though they both insisted they were "just friends."

Over the next eight months, their paths continued to intertwine as they hung out in larger friend groups and attended the same young adults ministry at their church. Each encounter deepened their friendship, laying the groundwork for something more. Finally, in May 2023, Joe mustered the courage to ask Bekka out on a date, marking the beginning of a beautiful chapter in their lives together. The rest, as they say, is history.
