Wedding Date on Sep 9, 2018

September 9th was really a unique day. The morning of the wedding began and the city of Toronto was experiencing a significant windstorm - so significant in fact that the Toronto Island ferries were no longer running. This is important to note because the entire wedding was supposed to take place on the Island! Laura and Cameron's chemistry and synergy really became clear through all of this. While we were grabbing shots of each of them getting ready, they were taking turns calling ferry and water taxi companies trying to figure out a way to get all the guests (and themselves!) to the Island. One moment I was capturing Laura read the beautiful card Cameron wrote her for the wedding day, the next she's solidifying a last minute water taxi with the only company in the city willing to operate in the wind. Luckily within about an hour everything was figured out and the connection between Laura and Cameron became unmistakable. Through this situation their love, patience, and ability to problem-solve together made it clear they were the perfect match. The rest of the wedding went swimmingly and their vows even had me tearing up. When the day started I wasn't really sure how it would all go but by the end it shaped up to be one of the most unique, beautiful weddings I'd ever captured.
