From the words of the bride, Sadie: "Went to church together since we were little. Eventually became friends in 2014, started talking without the intentions of romantically liking each other. Secretly started “dating” that year (I was a junior in high school 16 years old and he was an electrician's apprentice 19 years old. Dating lasted for about 9 months. I hated him from 2014-2017 little did I know he was actually still so in love with me. In 2017, in November we would have chats but I didn’t let it last long. My friends at church would ask me if I was interested in him or if there was even a chance to get with him again, I was in denial and I said “No, it’s never gonna happen.” In reality he was and still is SO handsome. In December my group of friends wanted to do a secret Santa so the person that coordinated it was my best friend she set it up so I’d be Jake’s secret Santa. Which meant I would have to put thought and meaning to the gift. I remembered when we first dated, for Christmas I got him socks because all of his had holes in it, it was kinda our insider. So that’s exactly what I got him along side of a few shirts and a tool kit. From there I think that’s when it sunk in. A few days later he texted me saying “Hey, so I just woke up and I dreamt about Liliha Bakery. Now I’m hungry and want Liliha Bakery. Do you wanna go?” I freaked out and of course said yes. From there we made a few moves like at the movies to holding hands to him slyly asking me out to Kailua Taco Trucks and that’s when he poured his heart out to me, grabbed my hang and said “wanna do this thing?” January, 12 2018 he asked me to be his girlfriend March 17, 2018 he asked me to be his wife 1 year later January, 12 2019 I said I do."
