From The Bride: Sharing a mutual group of friends, Francesca and GA were merely acquaintances during the first year of knowing each other at The University of Tampa. It wasn't until they got back to school for the Spring 2009 semester that changed everything. GA had just returned from a surf trip in Costa Rica. They were at a house party like any other weekend when Francesca noticed something different about him. A few days later they bumped into each other at The Study Hall - not to be confused with the library, that was the name of a dive bar near campus. Embracing their new connection, they continued spending time together, including boating adventures on Tampa Bay in between classes. The two were inseparable and he decided to make things official within a few weeks. It was GA's chivalrous Gasparilla injury that truly sealed the deal after Francesca nursed him back to health. GA finally got a boat of his own in December of 2015, so to celebrate he proposed to Francesca on an intimate cruise down the intracoastal in their home of Delray Beach. They docked up to Deck84 where they celebrated with their closest friends and family before heading up to New York.
