Wedding Date on Mar 16, 2019

19 and MARRIED!!!! That’s right, Caleb and Liz are officially Mr and Mrs Goodin! 315+ people witnessed & celebrated this beautiful couple’s beginning together, their young love, commitment to each other, and unwavering faith creates a love story that is absolutely beautiful. Take a second to read their love story and get to know this couple a little better. Caleb and Liz had over 300 people surrounding them and supporting them as they publicly declared their love for one another. As great as it is to have such a large support system, finding a venue that would accommodate their guest count turned out to be harder than they expected. The couple decided to get married at their church, Oceanway Assembly of God -Jacksonville, Florida. They hired Market31 Events to plan, coordinate, style and completely TRANSFORM the space (the church sanctuary and GYM) creating the modern, chic, industrial look and feel that Liz was dreaming of. *Heres some wedding planning advice from Gabrielle of Market31 “If you have vendors that you truly love and want on your side, there are ways to prioritize your budget so you can afford those vendors that will execute your dream wedding and make it a reality.” - Gabriel Woodcock Market31 Events. A church sanctuary can be an overwhelming space to transform. In order to scale down a massive stage space, Market31 proposed several design options to pull off the industrial chic look that Liz & Caleb loved. Without hesitation, they both were drawn to the idea of a hexagon arbor. Market31 partnered with Isaac Stewart, owner of Stewart Custom Woodworking, to build an epic 8 foot wooden hexagon that would bring focus to the couple. I absolutely loved how Market31 pulled florals and industrial copper together to create such beautiful hanging gardens. Guys, there was a hanging garden that surrounded a 15 foot long charcuterie board, aka cheese board. OMG! I was drooling while taking photos of it! When you walked into the reception, you completely forgot that you were in a church gym. The candlelight illuminated the entire space and everything was simply sparkling. Even the best man’s speech touched on the fact that he never thought the gym, that they spent so much time together in, could look so good. Marriage transcends a wedding and taking time to acknowledge this fact during your day is a beautiful thing. Something we always try to remind our couples as they plan their wedding is that your marriage should be more beautiful than your wedding! One way Caleb and Liz displayed their undivided love for one another was through a feet washing ceremony. This ceremony embodied everything we think and feel about Caleb and Liz. Selflessness. Humility. Devotion. Faithfulness. Generosity. Respectfulness. This is everything a relationship should be at its core. This is what love is truly built on. This, my friends, is what marriage is really all about. It was absolutely beautiful and brought tears to my eyes. It was such a great reminder to love and serve as Jesus has so greatly loved and served us. I asked Liz what her favorite part of the day was and without hesitation she said “our first touch!” Caleb and Liz decided not to do a first look but instead do a “first touch” ( a first touch is where the couple comes together without seeing one another but will often times hold hands, saying a few words of how they are feeling). During their first touch, they decided to exchange their personal vows to one another. Yup, you already know… tear jerking moment. This wedding wouldn’t be possible without the love and support of Liz and Caleb’s parents. Ammie, Josh, Laura and Jack, thank you for investing in your children. Thank you for all the sacrifices you have made to make them the amazing people they are today. We truly loved being around you and your families and could feel the love you have for your children. I want to take a second to express how thankful we are to walk alongside couples and capture memories of their most important day. It is such an honor that we will never take for granted. Wedding days are full of emotions and beautiful memories. We capture beautiful portraits, catch candid moments and run around chasing the light. But, I will say, not all photos taken on a wedding day have incredible light or some breathtaking landscape. BUT they most certainly have heart and memories attached to them. And at the end of the day, wedding photography to me is about the heart of the commitment. The every day of your marriage is not going to be perfectly framed against a stunning backdrop. Marriage is in the daily. Marriage is in the ordinary. Marriage is in the family. Marriage is in the tears. Marriage is in the smiles, the sacrifice, and the selfless moments. HUGE shoutout to all the amazing and talented vendors that poured hours of work, sweat and LOTS of love into seeing Caleb and Liz’s dream wedding come to life.
