Country singer Sierra Black married Ryan in October and we are so excited to be able to share her incredible video by The Film Poets on Love Stories TV!  Sierra and Ryan were married at Montage Deer Park in Park City, Utah in a classic country affair. During the wedding, Sierra read a letter from her 14-year-old self addressed to her future husband that will seriously make you WEEP. Don't forget to turn the volume up, because the video is set to Sierra's song, \"Make It Easy,\" which she wrote for Ryan. The Film Poets did an incredible job capturing how beautiful this sweep couple's day was. Watch the full film and then read our full interview with Sierra below.

The Love Story

How did you meet and fall in love?

Ryan and I met at the National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas! My best friend bet me $100 that I wouldn’t go up and introduce myself. We didn’t start dating right away but once we did, we knew immediately we would stay together forever.

Tell us how the proposal happened.

We were in Mexico with a few friends. As the sun was setting, we were about to head inside for dinner. Ryan stopped me before I could leave and immediately started one of the sweetest proposals I’ve ever heard in my life (although I may be a little biased). He then got down on one knee and asked me to be his wife. I’ll never forget that moment.

Where did you get your engagement ring?

My ring was designed for me by Mordecai who owns the Las Vegas Jewelers in my hometown!

The Wedding

What products and/or vendors made your wedding so beautiful?

The flowers by Artisan Bloom in Salt Lake, my wedding planner Chris Lavoie from Silver Summit Events, and my dress by Rita Vinieris. The people, the dress, and everything else made for a perfect wedding.

Tell us about something that was creative or unique to your wedding.

On the day of the wedding, a newspaper was delivered to our guests hotel room. It wasn’t just any newspaper though– it was all personalized to us. There was a crossword puzzle about us, a map to the church, our love story, and descriptions of everyone in our bridal party. It was a big hit with our guests.

Describe the moment from your wedding day that stands out to you the most.

Marrying my husband. That was the best part and I remember it perfectly.

How did you find your wedding dress? Who designed it and how did you know it was The One?

I found it at The White Dress in Corona Del Mar, CA. My favorite song is “Kiss Me” by Sixpence None The Richer. When I walked out of the dressing room in my dress, it came on and I took that as a sign. I had tried on a few before it but after trying that one, there was just a certain feeling about it. I love it and wish I could wear it everyday.

What made your wedding feel extra special to you and your partner?

Having all of our friends and family there–without them it wouldn’t have been a real celebration. We are truly blessed to be surrounded by such amazing people.

How did you find your filmmaker and what made you choose them?

I searched for a filmmaker for awhile because video and photo were very important to me. I came across The Film Poets on YouTube and immediately fell in love with their work. I had been crying at videos of people I didn’t know and I took that as impressive on their end. I’m more than happy with my decision in having them at my wedding.

What is your favorite moment from your wedding film?

My favorite moment is when our guests put us up in chairs and took us around the dance floor. Both Ryan and I were laughing and you can just see the joy in our faces.

Tell us the No. 1 piece of wedding planning advice you wish you would have known OR that you found to be the most helpful.

Soak it in. The day goes by faster than you could ever think. Stop every moment you can and just soak it all in.

The Couple

What do you think the ~secret sauce~ to your relationship is?

I think the most important thing is to never stop dating each other. Life gets busy and things get in the way, but just continue flirting and dating.
