Caleb proposed to Lauren in NYC during December of 2017. They decided to go up for a Christmas trip and he had even convinced Lauren it was her idea to go. However, it had been his plan all along to propose to her in Central Park. They were walking around Central Park and went over the bridge he thought he was going to propose to her on.. unfortunately there were too many people there and it was too crowded and Caleb knew he wouldn’t be able to sneakily get a photograph. So, they kept walking and came across a gazebo lifted on a hill in the park. It seemed to be perfect: there were few people, it had a great view of the city, and there was a couple close to their age up there. So, Caleb asked Lauren to wait while he got someone to ‘take their picture.’ Then, he went to the couple and explained he was going to propose and they were more than happy to help. So they took their position for the picture and Caleb told Lauren to wait while the people to their right walked by them (there was no one coming). When she looked and saw no one she turned back to Caleb and he was already on one knee. Overall it was perfect and Caleb wouldn’t have had it any other way.
