Villa Montanare - Wedding venue in TuscanyThe magical Villa Montanare, a stand-alone farmhouse est.1640 named Casa dell' Esse, was built by the family Fabbri from Florence who moved to Cortona during the turmoil between the Guelphs and Ghibellines. The Villa is perched on a hill on 420 meters overlooking a breathtaking panoramic view over the Val d’Esse and Val di Chiana Valley and surrounded by a paradisiac variety of cypresses, pines, figs, fruit trees, rosemary bushes, lavender, cacti, time-worn olive terraces and stone walls. Today the Villa Montanare is a romantic escape owned by the wedding planner and stylist Weddings by Silke and her wonderful husband Andreas - which made a big dream come true with this stunning location. Imagine your Tuscan Al Fresco (open-air) event at Villa Montanare where the landscape will become the most exquisite of backdrops. Book your private wedding ceremony, reception, dinner or anniversary party with up to 100 guests and enjoy this unique and unforgettable place. Inside the Villa there is dining space for a maximum of 12 guests in our beautiful "Cantina", which we just created in 2019. At the venue we can accommodate max. 6 guests in our Junior Garden Suite (one bedroom) and the Gallery Apartment (two bedrooms). Here you have a lot of space for you and your most beloved, a lovely kitchen, daylight bathrooms, living rooms and from everywhere access to the garden. Your other guests will staying in the hotels nearby, we are happy to organize a shuttle for your guests for the events. ​What else to do while you staying? Enjoy Cortona - which is one of the twelve cities of the Etruscean League - we think for sure the most beautiful one! Located at the altitude of 600 metres it has a magnificent panoramic view. The book by Frences Mayes and movie "Under the Tuscan sun" has established Cortona as one of the popular wedding destinations in Tuscany.
