Farmington Historic Home

Your wedding will be steeped I tradition at Farmington Historic Plantation, once home to over seventy enslaved people and the John Speed family. Throughout the property, signs tell the stories of the people who lived and worked on this plantation in the 19th century and Abraham Lincoln’s three week visit here in 1841. Lincoln’s time at Farmington is the only time he fully experienced the luxurious lifestyle of Kentucky’s planter elite. The Brand Pavilion, adjacent to the lovely Haldeman Garden provides the perfect setting for your guests and wedding party to enjoy the pastoral setting of this historic Kentucky hemp farm.
