We are a Hungary based videographer couple: Flori and Patrik. Our first co-made wedding film was made in 2020, but Patrik has been making films all his life. Flori has joined him from the world of fine arts. Patrik can be pictured as a silent dark horse who can surprise everyone with his talent. And Flori is a very efficient, reliable leader who always comes up with a solution when things are going wrong. Patrik has an intuitive talent for editing and storytelling, while Flori is more of a polyhistor-like Jolly Joker for the team, ready to be deployed anywhere. When we were editing the video of our first wedding together, Flori watched the first 20 seconds of Patrik's rough cut, teared up with emotion and was so moved that she gave Patrik a kiss. From those 20 seconds, it was clear that our mutual work creates the value that makes creative work worth to be done. We love and honour each other, which enables us to respect and recognise the essence of the love of others. We know that a wedding is a significant moment in a person's life, but it's really just the cherry on top of the cake, on top of the whole relationship. So when we make a wedding film, our aim is not to document the event, but to portray the whole relationship of the couple. This resonates with the social reality that very few people in the country can afford an affluent wedding. From a global perspective, even the most glamorous Hungarian weddings may seem modest. But perhaps the true significance of this milestone can only be seen when we get beyond the facade. How two lives, two souls intertwine and create a bond for a lifetime.
