Blue Springs Productions is made up of a father and son team, Clayton and Zak Stewart. We enjoy the process and challenge of capturing and producing compelling, professional films. Clayton has been in the bridal business in one way or another for over 20 years. He developed his love for photography in high school where he worked in the dark room (there was no digital at this time) and helping teach photography to the younger grade levels. Once out of high school, he started working for a local portrait and wedding photographer printing black and white photos and helping with weddings. After marring the love of his life, Kasey, he decided to break off of the professional photography scene and got into industrial software development. Several years went buy, Zak came along, and the software business went by the wayside. As fate would have it, a good friend who owns a fine jewelry store, was in need of a CAD jewelry designer. Clayton, in need of a career change, found this challenge just the perfect mix of technical skills and artistry. He now has 15 years experience in designing (mostly) bridal jewelry. As Zak (now 17) has grown, he seemed to always enjoy photography and videography even from a very young age. In 2021 a co-worker at the jewelry store asked if Clayton and Zak would film her wedding. From that moment, memories of the past rushed back to Clayton’s mind and the love of weddings was born in Zak. Right then and there, they decided they wanted to continue filming weddings together, and Blue Springs Productions was born.
