October means the leaves change color, we binge watch Gilmore Girls, pick out our Halloween costumes… and attend bridal fashion week in NYC. Also knowN as 'Bridal Market', this is the week where all of the designers show off next fall's styles to fashion editors, bridal salon buyers, and other members of the fashion industry.
Our founder @RachelJoSilver spent the week bopping around to shows, presentations, and backstage with some of our favorite beauty brands. If you follow us on Instagram (Which you should! We're very fun!) you've already seen it all but ICYMI here are a few of our favorite moments:
DAVID'S BRIDAL
David's is one of our favorite partners (have you checked out davidsbridal.com/lovestoriestv?!) and their presentation was the perfect way to kick off the week. Not only were their bridal gowns beautiful but they showed the most adorable flower girl fashions. And, best of all, they've launched a new collection for dogs! Squee! There's truly nothing better than puppies in wedding gowns.
DENNIS BASSO AND PNINA TORNAI
We teamed up with Kleinfeld Bridal to give one lucky winner the opportunity to attend the Dennis Basso and Pnina Tornai shows with us and to takeover our Instagram! We had so much fun with Kelsey and her guest Ashley.
MONIQUE LHUILLIER
Our friends at Essie invited us backstage to see the nail designs that stylist Rita Remark had chosen for the show.
NAEEM KHAN
The Naeem Khan show was a welcome burst of joy. In addition to the spectacular head pieces, the event culminated in a disco dance party showing off how the dresses move -- important for wedding dresses let's not forget!
GALIA LAHAV
We went backstage with our friends at amika to get a behind-the-scenes peek at the hairstyling for the event. We LOVED the messy double pony -- a hairstyle we can actually see ourselves wearing. Plus, it's fun to see products we use every day backstage at a formal fashion show. If you follow our founder @racheljosilver on Instagram you already know that Perk Up Dry Shampoo and Bombshell Blowout Spray are two must-haves in her haircare arsenal.
KELLY FAETANINI
Kelly Faetanini is a favorite of the Love Stories TV fam -- if you recall, Rachel and Juliette wore Kelly's gowns in an episode of Love Stories TV and Chill!
