From The Bride:

Michael and I first met in high school. Although we hung around the same friend group we really did not get to know each other until my senior year of high school and his freshman year of college. In Sweet Water, Alabama, prom lead out is a town affair, where each couple is introduced by name, who their parents are, and what they are involved in. Needless to say I did not want to walk out by myself in front of the entire town. Michael’s sister and I were good friends and she suggested that I ask Michael. From the first time he and I hung out, it felt as if we had known each other our whole lives…cliche I know… But we just clicked instantly. After prom was over we just continued to hang out, and it turned into a four year long distance relationship as we both attended college in two different states. We both knew pretty quickly after beginning our relationship that we would get married one day. Although long distance is hard, we learned the importance of communication, putting each other first, and sacrificially loving one another. Last year on my 21st birthday Michael surprised me by proposing at our favorite fancy restaurant, Cypress Inn, complete with both of our families, a photographer, candles, and flowers! Throughout the past year I have had the best time planning our wedding with my mom, my three sisters, and my phenomenal wedding planners! My vision for the day was that it would be a day filled with joy that both celebrated our love and pointed people to Jesus! In the end it was better than I ever imagined!
