Adele is a Bridal Makeup artist in San Francisco (@mu_by_adele) so you can imagine how many love stories she has witnessed. But now was her turn and wanted something as unique and special as her love story: "Todd and I were officially introduced on Match.com. We almost never met, as Todd thought I wasn’t interested in him because for weeks we were just exchanging emails and hadn't met in person! He decided to ask me to meet him for a drink at this place called The Vine which was the best in-between spot of where I lived and he lived at the time. Our first date was essentially perfect. We had an instant connection and felt so comfortable around each other, breaking some “first date rules” by talking about risqué subjects: God, politics, relationships, etc. Our casual date for a glass of wine turned into us closing the place down. Todd, being the polite gentleman he is, didn’t push a kiss and gave me a warm hug good bye and wasn’t very confident we’d go out again. We’d both had some horror stories in the online dating world and were all too familiar with being “ghosted”! What really set Todd apart is his “old fashioned” values and polite demeanor. He called and checked to make sure I got home alright that evening and that he enjoyed meeting me. He wasn’t wasting any time and set up another date with me on our phone call that evening. After our third date, we decided to date exclusively and the rest is history. Todd proposed at the same place we had our first date, making it even more of a surprise and extra special because he invited our families to witness it (hidden behind a fence but watching the whole thing on an iPad – I had no idea they were there!), so they could be there to celebrate! He pulled out all the stops to make it such a special proposal! After travelling to Mexico a couple times for vacation, Todd and I knew we wanted to have a destination wedding in Puerto Vallarta! I, being the researcher I am, stumbled across the Martoca through some Google searches. The venue was so unique and beautiful, also somewhere to make the wedding our own. We knew it was the perfect place and booked it sight unseen! We had our dream wedding surrounded by 30 of our closest family and friends on March 2, 2018. It was a once in a lifetime party that our guests are still raving about to this day. Fireworks, mariachis, horseback riding on the beach, karaoke and churros were some of the fun, memorable details of our big day! We wish we could do it all over again but are so happy to have photos and video to relive the day whenever we want. It truly was a magical day and the best day ever!" #todeleyhitchedinmexico2018
