Marshall & Megan

Marshall had already worked at Megan’s dad’s company, US Fleet Tracking, for six months when she started in July of 2103. They met at work and Marshall is truly the Jim to her Pam. Megan switched her schedule to Saturdays to unload heavy bulk office supplies, because she knew that Marshall was working those days. Marshall was always a true gentlemen and helped Megan unload all of the office supplies, without hesitation. They built a friendship and began spending time together outside of office hours.

Megan’s mother died when she was 8 months old and we enjoyed incorporating her as much as possible. Megan wore a garter that was made out of her mom’s wedding dress. We gave handkerchiefs made out of her mom’s dress to Megan’s mom’s family. Megan had a picture of her mom tied to her bouquet and we also honored Megan’s mom by including her name on our wedding invitations.
Our day was filled with so much love, tears, laughter and fun!
We exchanged letters and gifts. Megan had been keeping a journal of the last 100 days of their engagement and Marshall started a journal the night before the wedding. It was fun to see that we both did journals and that we were able to keep them a secret from one another.
We opted to do a first look, after much hesitation. It was probably the best decision we made. Megan didn’t walk to Marshall during their first look, she hiked up her dress and RAN towards Marshall. It was a special moment for both of them.
Megan walked down the aisle towards Marshall to the song Come to Me by the Goo Goo Dolls. Megan and Marshall had a cross braiding cord during the ceremony and left the ceremony to the song Can’t Stop the Feeling by Justin Timberlake. After the walk back down the aisle we stopped and enjoyed a flyover by a Microjet. Megan’s dad also owns Sundance Airport – so we thought it was fun to incorporate that. We felt this put everyone in a fun dancing mood. We enjoyed dinner in the barn at Southwind Hills followed by speeches, dancing, Photo Booth photos and a helicopter exit for the bride and groom.
Marshall’s favorite wedding day memory was leading up to the first look. He loved getting driven to the Enchanted Forest and thinking about what Megan would look like. Megan’s favorite wedding day memory was having the alone time during our first look. The first look was special, because we couldn’t decide if we wanted to do a first look, but we were both happy we chose to do one. It allowed us to really take in what our wedding day was about – becoming one and being with each other.
