From The Bride:

It was true Fate the way the two of us met. We met on Tinder (a popular dating app). I had deleted the app off my phone months prior due to MANY unsuccessful dates and then recently discovered from a friend that my profile was still floating around in “Tinderland” and so I had not deleted myself off of the app successfully. One Sunday night my roommate and I were watching the Bachelor with vino of course and she was Tindering away and so I decided to re-download the app so that I could properly remove myself. Sure enough my older profile popped up and I decided to give it one more go before deleting entirely. No word of a lie the first face to pop up was Emanuele and there was this gorgeous human with photos representing the person he was a true “family guy” as I swiped through pictures with his dad, adorable nieces and friends. I swiped right immediately and we were instantly matched. In less than a minute I had a message from him “Hey Beautiful” and I thought to myself… here we go again! I responded and we chatted a bit and then I decided to let him know I was planning to delete the app that night and if he wanted to continue talking he should text me. I gave him my mobile deleted Tinder and the rest is history really. We Facetimed and talked a lot on the phone, he wanted to call me which was my first hint that he was different and a true gentleman. He preferred to talk on the phone which to me was “old school” and super endearing. We went on our first date about two weeks after getting to know each other on the phone. On our first date we went for drinks he had a bite it was late he had just finished soccer and trekked it downtown to Toronto to see me (he lived in the suburbs at the time). He let me know he had planned to stay at his buddies that night because his first day at a new job downtown Toronto was the next day. I took him on the Subway (it was his first time LOL) he made sure to take a selfie to document his first subway ride LOL he was super funny – I adored him instantly… to this day still have that selfie and cherish it!

Long story short- we fell in love VERY quickly we were so similar in terms of our families, traditions, beliefs and life goals. Emanuele and I moved into a condo downtown two months after meeting, he proposed five months after that and we were married a year and a half later. I am so thankful to fate and that Sunday night when I decided to give Tinder one last shot… there is a lot of talk around the app being a “hook up site” but to those out there who are looking for something more, it can happen, our story is proof of that. There are people on these dating apps that truly want their happily ever after and I am so lucky to have found mine. Thanks for taking the time to read this XOXO

With Love,
