From The Bride:
We met through a mutual friend where we all went out one night to a bar. we literally danced and talked the night away. It was instant chemistry. We didn’t actually start dating until a couple months later where we had a repeat of our first evening together but this time it was new years eve, and from that night on we have become inseparable. Sometimes it is not a crazy romantic story about how two people meet, it is more of how their paths crossed to find each other. Growing up in the wine country of California I would of never imagine myself living in Kentucky. It was for our life choices that led us to one another. I have always said that the person you are truly suppose to be with, you will know from the beginning of the relationship. However it is if life’s curve balls that will challenge you on whether you grow together or apart. I think that is where our story begins and unfolds is that we have truly grown together. We are a team in every aspect a life and that is where we thrive. Our competitive nature drives to be better in life and for each other, and that to me is the bond that is truly unbreakable.
We planned our wedding together. Mike probably had more say than a lot of grooms. However we wanted it to be our day, that we built together. That was something that was important to me. Sometimes it is hard to make every appointment together but if it was something I liked i would always run it by him. For us this part of the planning process is easy, because in many aspects we do like the same things, other than my taste can be a lot more extravagant than his. However, I will have to give all the credit to our wedding planner Shelly Fortune who put together a dream wedding that was still on a budget. She was the true creative mind behind it and executed it perfectly even with all the weather catastrophes that we experienced that day. She is truly the one that deserves all the credit. Mike and I just simply stated our likes and our visions, she made them come to life.
