From The Bride:

I was born in Houston, TX and lived there until I was 14. I moved to Germany for high school because my father is in the US Army. Brandon grew up in Sapulpa, Oklahoma and joined the Marine Corps after high school. We both ended up at Texas State University in San Marcos, Texas in August 2010. But we didn’t meet until May 2014 (a week before we both graduated) through my sorority sister and his fraternity brother. We got serious pretty quick despite being long distance just 4 months in to our new relationship. And even though we were over 200 miles away from each other our relationship grew stronger every day. Brandon picked out the ring with his mom right before a fishing trip we had planned in May 2015. The funny part is I had told him my ring size was a 6 (total guess) so that’s what he got my engagement ring in. The day after he bought it we went and got one of my James Avery rings cleaned and sized and I was actually a size 4! Brandon had to scramble to get the correct size ring without me catching on (I never did). Two months later, around our one year dating anniversary, Brandon proposed during a casual evening at our home. When I started looking at venues I knew I wanted a mixture of city (me) and country (Brandon). Surprisingly it’s not too easy to find a barn venue in Dallas, Texas… especially a red barn. I came across Rustic Grace Estate in Van Alstyne, just north of Dallas, and fell in love with the beautiful white chapel, romantic lighting, gorgeous renovated 1920s red barn, and 3 acre lake  surrounded by about 25 acres. We got married on September 17, 2016 at our dream venue surrounded by our family and closest friends. It was a dream come true and we wish we could relive it every day!
